Lisa LaPointe is a biologist, international expedition leader and photographer specializing in wildlife and conservation. Over the last decade her work has taken her to all 7 continents, with a particular emphasis on the polar regions where she has spent multiple seasons as a lecturer and guide.

As a photographer, Lisa is known for combining principles of art and science into compelling storytelling. She is interested in how wild creatures interact with their environment, each other, and man. Her goal is to show both the beauty and innate value of wildlife and wild places, and the challenges they face.

As a workshop leader, Lisa encourages development of personal vision and storytelling skills, as well as technical and creative aspects. She is hands-on in the field, and delighted to answer questions and offer individualized advice. After more than a decade of leading adventure travel and photography workshops around the globe, Lisa has developed an engaging teaching style and a wealth of wildlife knowledge. She finds great satisfaction in inspiring others to appreciate the natural world, and helping them to record it through photography.
